Default Thinking about buying an STi RA

Hi there hopefully i'm in the right part of the forum. I am currently thinking about buying an STi RA Impreza. Could anyone give me details on the sort of spec (or lack of it lol) that they came with. Also what things to look for in buying one

I have been taken out in one at a track day at bedford and am really really impressed, not the quickest thing in the world but the handling side of things was pritty cool.

Many thanks

Mark

Hi mate, have a look at www.type-ra.co.uk , there's lots of spec info on there.

Cheers

Aye! Was a quality day out me and Chip did all 4 tyres on the BMW!!! They were all pritty much new.. Got some yoko's for £50 a corner

The RA just seems like the ideal car really, uprated drivetrain and transmission which more than usefull for my driving style lol

(Plus there's the fun wheel between the seats lmao)

Mongo, you sure you were in an RA? You said they aren't the quickest thing in the world - correct if comparing with a ferrari or the like, but my RA aint slow, that's for sure....

If you feel slow is topping out at 120mph then I suppose it is but it gets up to 120 very, very quickly!

very true. Not much can keep up with an ra to 120 mph. they are shockingly quick.

No deffinately was, it's alexf2003's car (met him at the RS owners trackday at bedford (know him through minis too))..

By all means not saying that they're slow cars but until recently my dayly driver was 220bhp had a straight cut box and weighed 750kg's so a little quicker.

I dont doubt in the slightest that they're not quick cars being one of the lightest and most powerfull models. I was mainly impressed by the grip in the corners plus the fun wheel between the seats which helped with sideways moments

I had a 'race' with my lad on sunday afternoon - not clever I know but...

He was in the scoob and me on my GSXR600K3

I couldnt get near the scoob...honestly!

I didnt think for one moment it would be so dramatic, but it was....and for those who think I can't ride bikes, then think again....been riding for 30 years and tracked them, and still got the ability....

So, I am defo keeping with this RA and will now have to tune my Zafira to keep up with it...
