I have been informed that all details regarding this event will be publisized some time over the next 7 days.

I'm sure to be there this year and I can't wait!

Regards,
Shaun.

in terms of the competition, do people think that tuner cars should be kept seperate from private cars?

Default Tuners

I do not know if tuners should be seperate but it would be good to see more tuners putting the money they get into a car to show people what can be done, they making plenty

Based on what I have found out for the production of the Impreza Newage Modification Interior article (due for publication very soon)..... it will take more than removal of the seats in a Newage WRX to get down to the weight of a Spec C.

Standard the Spec C RA has a kerb weight of 1350kg's where as the Newage WRX weighs in at Just over 1400kg's (thats a difference of nearly 8 stone!) But then.... that is a lot better than a Newage Sti in comparison (which is nearly 19 stone heavier)!

As you may appreciate..... these effect the power to weight ratio a fair bit (but more on that in the article).

Regards,
Shaun.

incidentally the seats in the car weighs 22kg passenger front and 18 for the combination of both sections of the rears....so thats 40 straight off

spare wheel is 12kg....jack and tools are 4.5

i was bored last year

How did you weigh the vehicle (as regards to method and fuel etc)?

Shaun.

ah i didnt weigh the car, i merely used the book kerb weight, and subtracted what i had removed....not scientific by any means but the majority of the world doesnt have access to a weighbridge!!

only ever had 1/4 tankof fuel at any event.
