Best bit about the deal is the seller has sent me an invoice to the sum of 1p
So i promptly paid it,I know it state's £42 plus p&p on the auction,But that's the point,it's an auction with no reserve,so i will be keeping em peeled for more bargain's from more kind hearted seller's
Oh! the joy's of ebay

I'm doubtful you'll get them for 1p as it does state he wants 42 quid. His fault though IMHO as he's run it as an auction.

Latest-my paypal payment remains unclaimed by his account?
Never seen this before, obviously not very happy about the winning bid
Oh well,if i dont receive the pad's i will follow the usual channels i.e neg feedback report to ebay etc etc
Would be a brucey bonus to get em,as i am in need of some new rear pad's

don't expect to get any pads mate, as to be honest i wouldn't send them either.
one of those odd ones really, you've done nothing wrong and he's just using a cheap way of getting his goods noticed. P+P looks ok for the weight of the pads.
i would be right fcuked off if i got neg feedback (as the seller) in this situation though!
let's be honest, if the spec of the pads turns out to be appropriate to your car, £50 to your door isn't a total **** take of a price anyway.
have fun

just received an email from the seller stating he does not have a paypal account so he only takes cash or cheque's
Just pointed out the huge paypal symbol at the bottom of his listings,And also thinking of replying to tell him i can collect as i am only 40 minutes away
I know why the guy listed the pad's like this,to save fee's etc,but that's not the point,I won that auction fair and square and i want my pad's
Anyone who use's the auction with no reserve format should part with the good's no matter how much they sell for,That's what ebay is all about,You take a risk, simple as!!!!!!!!!!

Drive over, pay cash, jobs a goodun. He has quite a few other similar items on at 1p, could be worth a punt. He has played the game and got caught out, unlucky.

Sellers own fault for trying to save a couple of quid on Ebay fees - if he wants £42 - put them on a Buy It Now at £42 and people will either buy or not - why bother leaving yourself open to the hassle of this 1p lark.
Quite apart from the fact he will get his Ebay account closed for fee avoidance if he was reported, he is obviously a business seller looking at the amount of things hes selling, so he should factor listing costs etc... into his price.

Not sure about trying to save fees tho, he has no reason to pay for a reserve. If you want £40 min for them put the starting price at £40.... no additional fees.

Bought a scanner for my computer from e-bay that I got for 1p, But had a e-mail from the bloke 2 days later saying that he dropped it and smashed it when he packed it, and said he would refund my 1p.
Gave him a neutral feedback, and explained what had happened incase he did it again to someone else.
At least you got your brake pads, and shows that there are honest people on e-bay who would send the item even though they made a loss.
