TEK 2 OR PPP

TEK 2 OR PPP
I have a MY00 with full decat, K&N filter, dawies, AFR and Knocklink.
I have 2 options:
(1) A PPP ecu off a MY99-00
or
(2) TEK 2 ecu (i've been told the TEK 2 ecu came off a car with a decat downpipe).
Which one would over the best power increase and relability?
Thanks in advance
RAJ

Reliability, as long as you have the Tek2 remapped for your car, would be as reliable as the PPP if its mapped properly.
As the Ecutek licence has already been paid for, it will only cost you the mappers time - would take about an hour so £100ish I'd imagine?

well if this helps
I have a tek2 on my car and so that means i have the license. getting the car mapped this month and upgrading to tek3. but even with the license, not everyone can read the map(supposedly) so its between an upgrade and full price.
upgrade price is usally around the £250 mark and a full ecutek can be as much as £600, including mapping time etc.
someone might have better info, this is just my personal scenario

I am not sure about the licence etc. If you can afford it, go for the Powerstation Tek3 remap Group Buy which is still current - £499+vat.
You may be able to get it a bit cheaper by buying an Ecutek ecu, remapping that etc. but I doubt there will be much in it.
I have Magnex cat-back, Ninja Sports cat downpipe and a JR panel filter.
Last Saturday @ Powerstation I had a Tek3 - 272bhp/272lbft.
I did have to go for a 3 port boost solenoid, so it was a bit more expensive for me, but normally the £499+vat will cover it.
