Default Where to get PPP on an EU import

Is there anywhere in the SE to get PPP fitted to an MY05 WRX Wagon (Maltese EU Import)? without Malta finding out about it?

Obviously i will declare it for insurance purposes, but i'd like to keep my warranty.

But you won't be able to kep your warranty as any work has to be approved by Malta so you could hit problems in the future. (unless the dealer keeps quiet)

i was hoping they'd keep quiet.

i suppose if they won't fit it in the first place without notifying Subaru/Prodrive of the chassis number, then they probably won't.

problem is my dealer in canterbury is only a few miles from my house so having to use someone else for all my servicing would be a pain in the ***.

i'll get onto the main scooby guy there and see if he'll sort it for me. i just spoke to one of the barratts general citroen/bmw/mg/etc etc people before.

Malta is part of the EU as of May 2004. The Subaru warranty is pan-european. A UK dealer *will* fit PPP on a EU import and your warranty will remain. I drive a EU import with PPP fitted in the UK.

^ er not according to Subaru, Malta.

Apparently each country can stipulate what they want to happen to keep their warranty valid.

Malta are happy for us to service every 9-9.5k miles in the UK instead of their crazy 5k service intervals for use in malta, but say a big no to PPP

some other EU country are OK with it though.

Mine came through Cyprus. A big no-no from them on any mods. I was thinking of dropping the warranty and going for non-main dealer servicing and a cheaper mod than PPP. Trying to balance risk (warranty) and benefits (cheaper servicing, cheaper mod). Too cowardly to take the decision yet!
