Hi all,

have 95 WRX wagon, runs very well but having installed a boost guage have noticed that occasionally it overboost's. Understand this can be caused by the 3 port valve sticking and have cleaned but overboost still occurs.

I picked up a complete boost control unit, cleaned and fitted. Seems to run fine but the 3 port solenoid can be heard clicking when you first touch the throttle, (not under boost). Is this normal as Ive never noticed it before.

Ticking on slight throttle is normal, sounds like your missing the restrictor which should be inside the bottom hose.

Is it hitting fuel cut?

very occasionally hits fuel cut, restrictor is there as checked this before.
Prob fine then, just never heard it before.

The clicking is normal. I believe it should start when you get positive pressure (0+) in the inlet manifold.
