Default attempted car jacking

Two chavs attempted to car jack me last night at around 7pm .
in marston green Birmingham i was in my 05 black sti
pulled up out side a mate house. as i was looking for my phone i hear the door handle go. As i looked up i see a young chav face coverd waveing a 2"round 3ft long pece of wood shouthing "GET OUT THE F***ING CAR " . I shouted NO F*** OFF so he hit the window but it just bounced off. we did a bit more shouting he hit the window two more times it bounced off . i then hit the horn they backed off and i floored it up the road best start i ever did lol. The police came within 5 min to see if i was ok then went to look round then within 10 min more police came to take all the details
as i went home i got pulled over by an unmarked police car to see if i was ok and can i give them some info on what happened as they only got bits of info over thear radio
This was the second one of the night

Thanks to the police now get the WA*K**S

PS I need a number for window tinting ( Armour Glaze ) neer burm

Neil

Not good at all mate. At least they didn't get the car and you weren't hurt.

Do you have anti-hijacking on your car then (alarm locks the doors on start up) or do you drive around with the doors locked?

Try looking in your alarm manual as it lists codes for auto locking etc.
Can't remember the code off the top of my head, sorry

Glad you and the scoob are still in one piece... had a similar thing happen to me once. I was parked in a layby at night making a phonecall and another car parked very close behind, then one guy got out and tried to get in the passenger door, usual 'get out the f.. car,' etc. Good job i had doors locked, so could just drive off - i always drive with doors locked now. You might want to check this out...

Although i have seen flame throwers installed in some cars in South Africa for the same reason

If it's the UK OE Sigma M30 system, then turn to ignition, press remote fob and watch for the LED to flash once, press button 4 on alarm control pad, switch off ignition. To disable press 5 instead.

Glad the scum didn't win and you're OK NielP

my my00 has a toad alarm, not sure which one, but it too locks the doors when ignition turns on,thought th guy was having me on when i was buying it, thought the central locking was kafunked.....

Is the auto lock the same on 05? Worried about the missus driving mine now although things seem a little calmer in Wales than the NW.

Been there, done that.
Works best in a VW Scirocco, built like a tank, lowered front end.
Not so sure about plastic Scooby bonnet and scoop .

Still worth a try, cos i'd FEEL a whole lot better for doing it heh heh.

Lexx.
I wasn't being carjaccked, but some twonk lobbed a bottle at me motor after drinky up time and asked to 'come on then' and 'what ya gonna do 'bout it?'
To which i replied "this." Then watched him bounce off the bonnet like a ****. I stopped up the road to make sure he got up and all that jazz.
