Default A local late night masked car robbery

I always felt ssafe in the area I live as it is very respectable but on Thursday night some thieving masked t*ossers who cant afford to buy there own car broke into house about 1 miles away and woke the occupants demanding their keys.

I am not sure what type of car it was but I had a bloody sleepless night last night last night. Apparently their 7 year old daughter is very shaken up too.

What goes through their minds to do this - I would happily put a gun to their heads if I could get away with it (and I had one!!!).

Someone I know lives on the street - I did a search on google but there is no story yet. It is in a very respectable area about 8 miles from middlesbrough.

Another reason to leave your keys in clear view of anyone who comes through your front door.........

Cue the big men talking about the baseball bat under their pillow and how they would kick ****.
Personally if anyone is mad enough to come into my house and into my bedroom where my wife and I are asleep they are welcome to my keys .....

I'd be perfectly prepared to take a very severe beating before handing over anything to anyone that comes waltzing into my house demanding stuff, thats for sure!

Why would any halfwit challenge masked raiders?

You want my keys....take them, do you want a cup of tea before you go?

I guess it depends if they disturb you or not - If they wake you over your bed there is not a lot you can do but if they wake you while trying to get in it may be a different story. Wouldnt have idea what i would do but hopefully the dog would start barking as soon as there was a small noise.

I also think that most of these so called masked raiders would cr@p themselves if someone challenged them - The problem is you dont know and they might just take a knife to your throat - Get a tracker so the police can catch the thieving scum.

I would definitely try and get to the top of the stairs before they came up - With a heavy item of furniture or just my foot in their mouth.

I think if you heard them come in (as my GF did once) and made them aware you'd heard them I guess in most cases they would scarper.

If they continued and I saw 3 big ****ers standing at the bottom of the stairs.....I'm not that sure i'd look that tought standing at the top of the stairs naked rubbing my eyes!!

Friend had a rottwieler, they threw a sheet over its head.......That was the end of that angry dog problem. The reason they came into his house? To steal the gun cabinet and guns from the wall, they left everything else. I'm thinking thats the sort of robbers you dont want to mess with.

Just give um the keys its only a car ffs.

I would have shot the bloody dog myself in that case.

A rotty is bred for it's guarding skills and should have given
plenty of advanced warning as soon as it heard a whisper.

My Stafford can hear a pin drop.

Yes, I agree though, if it came to the crunch the keys would be handed over.

The owners weren't in the house at the time so it probably did give advanced warning. Not alot of cop if no-one is there to hear it though. No blood about so it didnt get any of them before the sheet went on either......

Dont any of these people who have their houses broken into for the keys have an alarm fitted ??? Someone kicking in your door or smashing a window is going to wake you and half the neighbours up pretty quickly.

I know alarms dont always deter thieves, but at night when they are trying to creep around I'll bet they target the houses without them if they want to break in.

The thing that really racks me off, is that you never seem
to hear about these scum bags being caught.

We had around 20 yobs go down our street the other night
and one of the neighbours saw one of them jumping on car
bonnets and kicking off the wing mirrors.

Now, we are all pretty well knit in the street, so all of the men got togged up and we went looking.

We went to the end of the street towards the main road and a Police car was waiting at the traffic lights, now there
were about 10 of us, all grown men and we must have looked dodgy ourselves, the coppers just sat there looking
and when the lights went Green drove off.

It gives you no faith in them what so ever.

We never saw the youths by the way, which was probally a good job as some blood would have been spilt.

Is this the one that happened in Stokesley? My dad knows the woman whose house it was - apparently they took all three of the family's cars, though I don't think any of them were Scoobies or indeed sports cars. One was later recovered from Easterside IIRC. They didn't have a house alarm...

Id like to write im a hard ba5tard and if anyone broke into my house for my car keys, id give them a severe beating, but reality is it dont matter how hard you are, how many boxing titles you've won etc, someone who has broke into your house with the aim of stealing your car, could be carrying a gun a knife or anything, is it really worth being killed for.

What would worry me most is that if I had anything INSIDE the car that they would get aswell!!

The car can go .... its just metal ... it would be a bummer if I had just put new brake pads on it mind you!!

I wouldn't want it back though .... take it, burn it and I will get something else

I agree Pete,

We've had 4 or 5 attempts so far.

If they did ever get the car I'd certainly not want it back after having it's **** ragged off.

Good locks will not keep them out. Had my Scooby stolen last year by thieves breaking into the house to take keys. They broke in through the back door, which was an almost new uPVC door with a "state of the art" lock. They knew exactly where the weak point of the lock was and managed to break the barrel with minimal damage to the door surrounding it.

I think I've still got the broken bits of the lock somewhere - at the time I was amazed it was designed with such a glaring weakness. If I get time I'll post some photos. Get a house alarm is my advice!
