Anyone got one?

What do you think of them?

Any pics of the straight exit version?

I've got one on my 01WRX, sounds fantastic when on full chat!! but it's not quiet, can drone a wee bit on motorways but then I like the sound so I don't mind!

Have a listen to one, think there's a sound link here..

I've got one on mine with de-cat centre section and non-resonated centre section. Sounds fantastic If you ask me - nice and deep on idle and cruise, but really howls at high revs. Got the angled on mine and like the Jap street racer style.

Only complaints are that it can be too loud almost when you do want to go un-noticed if you know what I mean. Also on long journeys it can get a bit tiresome.

Got the angled exit on my 05 Sti PPP. Doesn't seem to have the low down burble at idle like some I've heard, but.....

nail it and above 4500 it really does sound like a jet fighter, in tunnels my goodness me

highly recommended, with my STi panel filter I've noticed it seems to rev much easier at the high end, really does free up it's breathing. It had the same effect on my standard non PPP 03 STi as well.

Get it in son

Its the only way to go!
Had an original on my sport and now have the vortex on the turbo!
Word of warning vortex + straight tho = Very loud!
By sport clocked 140 db when straight tho!

My00 turbo. Decat + standard mid section + vortex = 102 db.

Makes you mad the crap they come out with.. FFS all it is is a pipe at the end of the exhaust where waste gases come out.. how does that affect the warranty..? Any reason to get out of paying..!

i've been thinking what exhaust to fit on my Forester. I like the sound but heard the vortex was loud.

other than that it was a hayward and scott original which is too quiet.

what to do

It's not you mate.. As said above it would be a quick change over job when the time comes.. I've heard people say they can tell from the engine computer that there's been a different back box.. is that bollox.? But surely if the cats haven't been touched that's all that's important.?

I've heard people say they can tell from the engine computer that there's been a different back box.. id like to see them actually prove it. that would be an advanced peice of equipment.
