Forrester STI
Does anyone have one of these? Just looking for feedback...
Got a WRX300 but was considering something different, maybe Spec C or a Forrester STI.
On Iains web site it quotes 280bhp for standard remap, but in the review it is higher 300+
Does standard remap mean the remap you get as supplied from Litchfield for UK fuel, or an additional remap after the remap!
Havent really seen any decent photos, the ones on DHCARS seem to show it in a better light...
Cheers,
Mark

Look in the members gallery - Mog has just taken delivery of a new 06 FSti

As far as I know you get a standard remap for UK fuel as part of the deal - good for 300+
Get a Miltek though and you're looking at 330'ish

Some pics of mine here:
http://www.thegaddfamily.co.uk/Fores...STi/index.html
That's the pre-facelift shape, but internals are pretty much the same.
Pros:
Doesn't attract unwanted attention
Fast, and easy to drive fast
Fun, and easy to drive fast
Practical, can get bikes in the back
Cons:
Ugly
Can drive it too fast too easily
...er... mine isn't black like Mog's.

By the way Marky, the 'standard' remap is simply for UK fuel, and keeps the original exhaust system. Optionally there is the Milltek exhaust system, which replaces the system from the turbo back, using a sports cat. Mapping for that gives 330/330 (slightly variable car-to-car), so that map and the exhaust are the 'performance' package. The car reviewed in Evo is Mrs. Mog's car (the blue one, now replaced by the black facelift one).
Best if you talk to Iain about the options, Litchfield Imports are on 01684 850999.
And finally.... Forester only has 2 'r's, is it this you are actually after ?

Work is in progress in setting up a new site, but it looks like it will be a temporary one until the 'real' site is back on an even keel. Then I think they envisage the new site being a kind of backup of the normal one.
This NASIOC thread has the details - the last post on page 12 is the beginning of the discussion about the recovery efort. Some generous people have provided hosting and a lot of support to get things going again.

Mog...
Are there any issues with suspension, with it being a JDM model...if you know what I mean? I know its not exactly a spec C but I am just wondering...

With a new exhaust and a further remap better than an Impreza STi (in a straight line)....
