An other battery gives up - again!!
MY03 STI - 2.1/2 years old. 1st battery replaced when 6 months old & that has now gone wrong.
up to Cotswold Subaru thou. Warrenty replacement to be delivered to my house tomorrow. My only concern is that it is a known fault (as admitted by them) so when the car is out of warrenty where do people stand? If Subaru can not fix the fault what will they do about replacements for out of warrenty claims.

If batteries keeps 'going' then there's probably another problem. You go into Subaru with the problem and they fix with £50 battery every 6 months, that costs them £100 a year while the car is in warranty. Once out of warranty they'll tell you what the REAL problem is which'll cost you a fair bit to diagnose and fix.
Get a mulitmeter (maplin used to do them for £2.50) and see if anythings draining the battery.

Sorted (I hope!!) Spoke with RAC Trackstar & the are coming out to fit a '1 hour shut ball' which will put the system to sleep after an hour & save the battery
They commented that Subaru should be telling their customers of this as it is covered in the 3 year Trackstar warrenty. After that is is chargable. Good communication as usual from Subaru UK

I had a similar issue on my MY03 STi UK ... took it into the Subaru dealer, they identified the tracker not shutting down correctly into sleep mode thereby draining my battery and fixed it ... excellent service, coffee on tap, no cost to me = one happy customer
There are some good dealers out there ... honest
