Reving to high when cold ?

I suppose it could be the ECU trying to keep within it's specs for the lambda sensor. Mine can hit 1500 when very cold, most of the time up here in Scotland then.

Ah good i was worried as have only had it for a month and thought maybe it had a temp sensor out but it sounds like a standard feature !
Do you find the revs are quite slow to come down when you rev them hot or cold ?

1500 is fine. Almost all cold engines do it under fast idle conditions (i.e during warm up - lambda sensor is not used )
It can go upto 2000rpm in extreme cases.
It will stay like that for about 30-60seconds...blip the throttle after that period of time and it'll drop to about 1200rpm.
A cold engine will not idle happily at anything slower than 1000rpm.
