Didn't one of you take some photos when we stopped to meet the white WRX (sorry I'm hopeless with names), get 'em scanned and posted.
Great route, good roads, nice bunch of people and I like the way you managed to get the black escort to give us some singletrack overtaking practice.
Thrashed the wagon down the A6 back to Kendal after I left you, that is one fast road, I must have hit 60 at least 10 times!

AndrewC,
I took a couple of photos in the mirk whilst we waited. I only started the film the other day so "it could be a while" before they're posted.
Unless I play elsewhere

Across some of these rough fell sections walking speed was too fast in mine !!!
Glad I had reduced my velocity considerably just prior to take-off on that humpy bridge.
Just practicing for the next Scooby Olypics ~ the highjump
Mark
Oh Yeah, and the flame throwing championship

You'd have thought the Farmer in Question would have heard us before launching himself over the style into my path
What with BOV chattering away, and Zorts popping.
Oh well....

Hi,
Farmer ? Mmmm must have missed that one. Looks like there is an advantage of being at the front and setting the pace
Glad to see people enjoyed themselves. I managed to take one photo before the film ran out (Doh!).
Mark, why don't you get your dampers re-calibrated for forest spec and get some softer springs. Which should be ok for the road and would save you having to put the originals back in.
Now where should we go next month. Suggestions on a postcard please

DaveW,
Its not a huge job to put the originals back in. The fronts can be replaced in about 1 hour (thats for both sides) the rears are more tricky as its requires the rear seat to be removed
Once thats done I can rethink what I do with the suspension and have a word with some people in the know... A J Motorsport who've rebuilt the engine; gearb...turbo...laa dee daaa etc.. build Gp N cars so I'll see what the job is.
Its the dampers that are just too much. The springs aren't that OTT. It would be a shame to ditch them completely as they are soooooooooo massively strong. It takes some poundings from landings on the Ribblehead road ~ just takes it in its stride
The Farmer, yeah you were in the distance. I didn't see him as he popped out from a hedge whilst I was along side (allegedy).
Where next...dunno just make sure no-one knows me in the area we choose..

What about just over the border as we discussed on Saturday, I could come up and stay with my brother-in-law in Stanwix, perhaps Mark could stay with his folks to cut his journey down, this offers the additional advantage of being even further away from anyone who may recognise (or identify) us 'Southerners'.
Are we going to make this a regular (but still informal) thang then?
Andrew...

Drive to Scotland for a play ? You're mad the lot of you
But then who am I to talk !!!
Basically so long as I have fuel, oil and my old suspension on I'll come. There's always a B&B somewhere to stay in if needs be.
Mark.

Munna, you're a phool(sic) alright -
Think about it - how likely is it that my Brother-in-law have the same surname as me!
Incest may be rife in Cumbria but here in West Lancashire (I'm not taking responsibility for anywhere east of Clitheroe!) we have rules about that sort of thing.
I'll give him a ring and ask what he knows about your so called 'restaurant', I hope you keep it cleaner than your car!
Anyway Some of us have got work to do, anyone remember where the STI website is?

Mark,
If the next meet is north of the border, don't worry about finding a B&B coz your quite welcome to stop at my house. Your Scooby will be safe and I'll provide the beer
Andrew,
Yes I'd like this to become a regular monthly meet. Seemed to work well this time with the 7 of us.
Oh had a run in with an Evo VI tonight. Who said they were quick? Can't be that quick if a standard (!) UK MY99 can keep up I have a feeling he was just playing, but it felt good to keep up all the same

Sorry to be a pain in the ****, but oncall buggers up all me plans usually.
Thanks

Mark,
Opps I'm on call at weekends on 'odd' weeks . But I'm sure we can sort something out. Then again I could just move jobs (don't laugh I'm serious but thats another story).
Oh and I drink lager and/or red bull and vodka
Dave
