What Colour?
Getting very near to buying an STI now, after a month trying to sell my car, a family friend can use his car trader experience to work it in with the deal. So all he has to do is locate a top STI for me. He has found 2, one is a WR Blue, the other Black. The blue and crystal grey were my colours of choice, but black.....err not too sure, what do you guys think, I admit it looks good, but am worried about seeing little whisspy scratchs after a while!, cleaning wise isn't a problem, as that is always a once a week job regardless.
Also would you get a crystal grey on a 04/54 plate, or are they only on 05/55?
Thanks people
Darren.

I've just bought a Black STi, my choice was Blue also but went to see a Black one as the price was very good. As soon as both me & the wife saw it we really liked it, looked stunning, so we went for it. Polished it the weekend for the first time & was blown away of how good it looks. Have noticed some swirl marks in the paint as you say but you do really have to look for them.
When your spending this sort of money though, you have to go with what you REALLY want, don't want to regret it....

Black if you have the time to clean it 4 days of the week in winter and twice a week in the summer. They do look bloody nice when clean, I went for blue and it still bugs me when it gets dirty, so either way you'll be bloody busy cleaning it whatever colour you go for.
Good luck and whatever you chose I'm sure you will be happy with it! At the end of the day - yes colour does matter but the car is about so much more than that.

Sorry for this.............thread hijack.
Elmer, where did you get the grey/black STi stickers for the fog-lamp covers ?
I don`t like the pink standard ones on mine, and yours look excellent.
Mine`s silver as well, BTW.

Black is a nightmare to keep looking clean and in my experience it does show up scratches more. I now have a blue one but only becuse i bought 2nd hand so beggars cant be choosers. I do like it though. Given a choice definately chrystal grey. It looks lush and a lot rarer than the other colours.

ClutDave, your was the whole reason for thinking about crystal grey, you lucky sod!. But are they only only 05/55 plates?
Think I'll have more luck in finding a top notch WR Blue to be honest, having said that I would be over the moon with it

Crystal Grey is on the way! Picking it up in 10 days time.
Black is an absolute git to keep clean. My current o2 Blue/Black one is always looking dirty compared to the other half's WR Blue one.
