Bloody annoyed - Advice please
OK driving home tonight a Volvo slowly hit the back of my car - It was a bit of a crunch but at first I just thought I had left it in gear and it had jumped out.
Got out and there appeared to be no damage in the dull light - The guy got out and I said it appeared OK. Didnt really know whether to get his details so I got his number plate. He seemed honest and hopefully the car is registered - I know I should always get his contact details.
Anyway I had a torch out so I cant tell for sure but there is definitely a small amount damage and there is a possibility that the paint has cracked where it has flexed.
What would you do if the damage was minimal. Obviously I will have to go throught the insurance though as I do not have a phone number.

Unless your prepared to fix the "couple of marks" yourself.
As pslewis says, well that's what I'd do.

Leave it until the morning then see what it looks like in daylight before contacting them.
One night is not going to make much difference, especially when you have not even got his details!! That's the first thing the insurance co. is gonna complain about.
