Default Bizzare noise

Hope there's some mechanically minded people about

When my car is cold (MY52 WRX) I have a strange gurgling noise comming from the engine when I rev it slightly. It sounds like fluid of some sort.

Any thoughts?

My 03 WRX did the same. It was air in the cooling system, had it blead at the last service and it's fixed it.

Yes it also happens when accelerating gently when engine is cold, sounds like something to do with the heating system

I understand that it is not particularly unusual to get an air lock in the cooling system after the coolant has been changed. Mine cleared within afew days, but I had to top up the header tank again.
Have you checked the header tank?
