Does the CD on the windscreen work?????
#1
I have seen load of lorries, courier vans and GTIs with a cd in the front windscreen with the reflective side facing out.It is supposed to prevent laser speed detection equitment from working.Does it work.Although one down side about this is that the police are aware of it and lets say you are stops you doin 65 in a 60 where normally he might give you a warning, upon seeing the CD you can be pretty sure of getting a ticket.Any ideas?

It is not true. Have a look at the thread called "is it true...... " posted by salsa-king a few days ago.
The only way to get it to work would be to paste CDs to your number plates.

Seriously though do people in England try the same thing and yes I know with lasers they aim at the plate. What about getting 2 CDs and putting them over each fog lamp either side of the plate? And no I wont be trying that but I want to know if they work on the windscreen.

They aim at the plate because the details of the plate get sent via GPS and satellite direct to DVLA to check you out - before they stop you

It doesn't work. This doesn't mean that loads of people won't try it though - by the sounds of it there are a fair few drivers out there with CDs hanging from various parts of their cars.

I can't believe intelligent grown people even consider that this mumbo jumbo might be true.
Of course it works and, like I said before, garlic will keep away Father Christmas.
Tchoh!
Have you visited the site where the Chinese guy sells the secret of eternal youth/life?
Don't ask me.
