Default Option Codes.

Does anyone have a link to "Option Codes"
These are on the VIN plate.
In particular I need to ID M, F, J and C.
I suspect the fist two will be air con and sunroof but no idea on the others.
Thanks.

albob; Thanks but the decoder refered to a 17 no. digit code which is not evident on the three Jap imports I have just checked.
Gussy : Thanks mate. Hope is all well with you.
I think we are at cross purposes.
E-GF8 and GF8D5ED or GF8C58D indicates that it is a 2.0 litre Wagon. WRX STi M/Y 97 for the first one and WRX only 95/96 for the later. An STi 6 Wagon is GF8G5ED
The codes I am referring to are specific "OPTION CODES" These relate to things like air con, sun roof, electric windows maybe, glass options possibly and whatever was considered as an optional extra over the base model.
What I want is a decoder for options but in particular options MFJC and L.
I suspect that a Subaru dealer or clued up car sales bod somewhere would have these.

Does anyone know what the option code ELC means? It's on a JDM STi v5.

Sorry for the huge thread bump but that's what happens when you tell newbs to search ha.
