Default ECUTEK and Eibach's

So, today I have completed a 12 hour day at Powerstation and have come home £1000 poorer......but personally and religously richer!!

I have had an ecutek remap and am VERY pleased with the results, however while there I also talked myself into having a set of Eibach springs fitted and the four-wheel aligment and geomety setup.

I haven't had much chance to test the new suspension setup yet due to it being dark and raining and didn't want to push the car too hard until I've got used to the ride and increase in power....(I'll give it a day at least ).

However the car feels infinately more planted and secure on the road and definately compliments the extra power. I flew round a couple of roundabouts on the way home, in the wet, and she just gripped and went - even on full cam. There is hardly any body roll and I'm amazed how it's transformed the handling.

In addition to this the car looks fookin marvelous sat on my 18" Gunmetal Rota GRA's. She looked a bit ungainly before, as if it was on stilts. Not now. The 20mm drop (I guess another 5mm or so drop to come once the springs have settled) means the rims are sat nicely under the arches, with less that two fingers gap on the rear and just over two finger gap on the front. The look has been nothing short of 'transformed'.

If you have a grand or so buring a hole in your pocket and don't know what to do with it, go to Powerstation and get a remap and Eibachs

I'll try and get hold of a decent digital camera in the next day or so and take some pics.

Rich.

3 of us travelled up from South Wales.
  • One bugeye WRX had an ecutek remap
  • One bugeye had an ecutek remap, Eibach springs + geometry (me)
  • One MY00(?) Classic WRX had AST T25 suspension upgrade + geometry
We are all well chuffed with the results. The T25 put onto the Classic looked the business, really low and rock solid. You couldn't moved the car up and down at all (I think he pretty much had the hardest settings). The package looks like good value, plenty of goodies go on the car + the geometry. It took a good 3 to 4 hours to fit it all.

Good stuff guys, glad you are all as pleased as I was after the trip to PowerStation, see you on the next run to the hills...now where is the number for them again I must get that T20 kit otherwise my STi is going to be too slow to keep up (or is that just the driver!?) :-)

A trip to PowerStation = 1000 smiles per £ in my book!!

Absolutely, money VERY well spent. I'm looking forward to hearing how John (the T25 Kit Classic) found the journey home. We were seperated at the lights outside Powerstation and Blue Dragoon and I never looked back - we were so immersed in our new-found power that we belted it all the way back to Cardiff!!!

7 Days into the ride of my life First of all must say many thanks to all at powerstation, nothing was to much trouble, to curtis your knowledge is unsurpassed, the uprated springs and the wheel alignment tweeks are working well, have now completed over 200 mls trying different settings so the data is now coming together.
To anybody thinking about having this upgrade think long and hard, because tyres will become a common issue, not when to buy, but how many !!!
As for the trip home, the brakes became obsolete. PS "what roundabouts!!!!!"
Of up there again tomorrow (09) shud be another gud day.....

Post a report on your initial findings after you've taken her for a spin?
