Default Did you get a courtesy car when...

Is it unusual not to be given a courtesy car when getting warranty work done at a dealer? Anyone had work done and been given one?

Cheers

I've had work done under warranty twice and both times had a car.
Saying that, one was a Fiat Stilo

If its a Subaru Dealer and its a Subaru Warranty then you should have a courtesy car..... Every time I had work done I got a car, even if I phoned Subaru Assist and had the car uplifted from my work/home/middle of nowhere then they organised a Hire Car for me.

To be honest , i think the dealers wait for you to ask / even demand before you get a courtesy car.

I have had loads of work done at monteys subaru in sheffield in my time and never had the privelge of a courtesy car , even if i have asked.

i have heard of this all to often when putting in an import to them.

Dont know why because ones money is as good as anothers.

I take it from previuos threads yours is an import.

Yea mate i bought my type r v5 from them about 2yrs ago , i think they took it in part ex cheap and tryed to make a quick buck on it , then when it came to warrenty work they had no time for me at all.

I can distinctly remember asking for a courtesy car on a few occasions and been looked at by the service manager like i was a criminal.

I think it all depends on the dealer you go to , its like the guys with eu imports, some dealers welcome them for warrenty work some dealers dont want to know.

Wouldnt that make it a dealer warranty, rather than a Subaru warranty? Different?

I have always had a courtesy car supplied even for routine servicing.
Just a shame about the quality of work on my own car! Now dont go near suabru dealers. So no more courtesy car. But no more having to go back for them to fix what they got wrong.

I've always had to book a car in advance but as long as I give them notice they supply me with a courtesy car. I do however have to arrange my own insurance on it.

You all need to go to Tileys in Bristol. Book your car in with them and you get asked if you would like a loan car and if so a new WRX is waiting for you when you drop yours off. Yours then comes back washed.
