Are exploded diagrams of Impreza mechanicals available?

Are exploded diagrams of Impreza mechanicals available?
I'm trying to get to the bottom of which part I need to replace in order to stop the drive shaft from leaking. I've spent 2 months waiting for my local garage to sort it out without success. And I can't much of an answer anywhere else.
What I really need is an exloded diagram of the front transmission/drive shaft assembly. This will give me a better idea of what is actually in there and hopefully help diagnose which part needs replacing. It may just be a case of replacing the shaft but don't want to buy parts and then have them fitted to find out there are wrong.

new age bug eye or classic,
i havea haynes manual showing the classic / legay running gear...
i,m surprised the main dealer will have a fiche or similar showing same.

The dealer should have full diagrams for every bit of the Impreza old or new. I have a couple, but just bits 'n pieces.

Its for a classic. The closet Subaru dealer is about 2 hours away. The place I usually go to are respected specialists but the first part they ordered was wrong and since then I ring them, they say we'll get back to you and they don't - this has been going on since late August. I can't believe they are just waiting for the right part to turn up.
And to be honest if it is just a case of replacing the shaft, me and a friend will be able to do the job a couple of hours tops. Its really frustrating being out in the sticks with these cars!!!

If it's the seal that's gone in the gearbox where the shaft goes in (like pic above), bear in mind that the seals are handed left and right and have two different part numbers, so you'll need to order the correct one.
If it is that seal, then it's very easy and quick to replace.

This is an exploded view of a newage impreza driveshaft assembly (See page labelled as (DS-6).
It's not specifically for a classic but maybe of some use to you?

I was told that this was a fault with the inner drive shaft - not a seal. I'm having a new back box fitted this afternoon so while its up I'll take a pic but I'm pretty sure its the same fault as the pic above.
Really appreciate the help here, been driving me spare getting it sorted.

I first noticed it when changing brake discs and I had big dollops of the stuff on the undercowl. Its so dark and thick I assumed it to be CV grease from the boot but its coming from the joint/case point.

Is that drivers side? If so its the same side as mine. When it was serviced they said we can re-pack it but it will all come out again. What I don't get is where its actually coming from if not the gearbox? How does the CV grease get there?
Don't think the seals are much and I believe API will do 2nd hand or recon shafts for just over a £100. Might be worth changing the lot whilst its apart and go from there.

Yeah. it's the driver's side, the passenger side is bone dry. The car's a MY00 uk...from what i gather, this fault is common on this year.
I don't know how the driveshaft system works. I can't figure it out either, I just don't want to throw money at something, then have to do something else after a while to sort it out again. Like I say, i'll ask the guys at Scoobyclinic tomorrow and see what they say.

I asked the fellas at Scoobyclinic earlier and they said it doesn't look too serious at the moment.
I was advised to look for signs like the steering clunking at full lock.
I aint got this at the moment as far as i can tell, so i'm just gunna clean it and keep my eye on it, then take it from there. It's likely to be a new driveshaft in the end though

Clunking at full lock would indicate a dodgy UJ (I assume) but its not the UJ thats at fault here. I would have said its more likely once things start heating up it will drone while in motion.
Got a sneaky feeling I can hear it but that might just be the usual "Please god, don't let it break" mantra of scoob ownership

They seemed to think it's the grease from the CV joint that gets forced up through the driveshaft and out at the other end (nearest the gearbox).
On the noise point, I've got a noise that sounds similar to a brake rubbing, very quiet but definately there. I noticed it once i'd seen the grease problem, so don't know if it's me thinking the worst or not.
I think it needs looking into just to make sure if nothing else
