Mate, I don`t know how you feel about an ex-demo, but I was in Monty`s in Sheffield, on Friday, and they have bought in an 05 STi from a dealer that has gone bust somewhere, so they have bought in some of his stock at a good price. It only had 800 miles on the clock, and I think they were asking about 21k for it, but don`t quote me on that price, as I`m not sure.

Monty`s are a Subaru dealer BTW.

Assuming no PPP for that (free ppp offer now expired).
Shopping around, the best for STi PPP seems to be £25k

My local dealer has offered me a new STi PPP for 26k or an ex demo with 2000 miles on it, again an STi ppp for 23k. Trouble is you just know that you'll loose bundles with the new one out.

Mines a genuine 1 owner - 1 driver, high days & holidays car. Never been abused & its condition corroborates that.

Miss out the middle man & buy private whatever you do, where's the benefit going to the dealer when all they'll do is add 3-4k to the price?

Is it worth it?

How is this car still for sale?!! Who would go out and buy a new one for 23-25k when you could buy this as-new, and ready run-in for a savings of thousands??!!

Petem95,

I ask myself the same question mate, I am trading this car very shortly & would much rather go to the dealer with pound notes & attempt to get a cash discount.

I thought if there were any genuine buyers out there I'd have been fighting them off at this price....

There are no catches, Ive taken the hit on this car (vat, dealers profit etc)...

This time next month somebody will be its new owner but will have paid a good deal more for it if the dealer takes it from me.

Cheers,

F2B.

Your right mate, I also ask myself that one... but her indoors is expecting our 1st child, we already have 3 strapping black labs - none of which I'd ever let near my pride & joy.... never mind inside it! (too messy)

So its sensible hat on time, X5 Bmer ordered..... Couldnt afford the vanquish!!

Cheers, F2B. (P.S. Im ready for any/all abuse on next purchase so lets hear it)

To be fair to the dealer we've not discussed a price properly as yet, I won't pay the ticket price but not sure how much to try for!!!

So what should be my max price on this WRX 300 in the show room with the PPP kit installed. Sticker price & PPP is just over 23k. What should I be aiming at??

Cheers

Dave

Somebody out there will get a bargain, this is a new mota for 2nd hand money.

I know Im not taking a px but u all know that even when a dealer does take a px from you its more like takin the ****!

They all grab money from both sides of the deal, too much for my liking....no offence to you car sales boys out there, but come on its us enthusiasts that always lose out.

Cheers, F2B
