Default Rolling Road Today

Hey guys
well i got my sti type r up on the RR today, was expecting a little bit more from her to be honest but hey thats the way it goes..
i was guestimating in my head of a figure between 310 and 315bhp, i have the dyno sheet up there now so take a look if you like guys...
figures were 297bhp and 365nm torque.. mods are

-Helix Up pipe
-Scoobyworld Downpipe
-Equal length headers
-straight thru centre with blitz nurspec
-Blitz induction
-Lightweight Flywheel
-Apexi Power FC mapped by Andy F on 99.5/100ron fuel @ 1.35 bar

maybe an uprated fuel pump and injectors wud see me around the figure i expected, what ya think

Seems a little low, especially with the mods, i made 320 with a decat+dawes. But aslong as it feels quick and drives well, i wouldnt be too worried. Different Rolling roads give varying power outputs so you can never be too sure....

Went down to scooby clinic this week, going to also set up an RR day .
I also have STI typeR was told standered they run around 300bhp told this week from the bloke at the clinic i was probebly looking at a realistic 276bhp so best get it booked in to clarify this dispute.

Presently running 346 bhp with 297lb torque on super unleaded. Standard internals. Bit of a long list of mods though but autronics management and decent turbo were the most effective. Not quite the 350 but ultra reliable. 97 ver3 555 type r

Im sure with a differant turbo and a tweak on the map, and you would be well over 300bhp.

uprated fuel pump wuddve seen me up over 300hp easy.. , the vf24 turbo should be good for well over 300hp, might as well go all out and get new turbo,550cc injectors, fuel pump&fuel pressure reg, FMIC,other remap...and that should see me at 340+ but i aint in the damn mood to spend that much money..this sh*t gotta stop somewhere! ha

i would expect more power, at least 320/ 330 bhp .i would try another rolling road dyno elsewhere to compare.if its still the same i would then take it back to andy f im sure he could get more out of it.also tighten pipe work around the turbo area.my evo 6 is runining 1.3 bar its pulling 330 actuator /decat /filter.

I suspect that the fuel is of a far lower RON octane rating than you have assumed. Mixing in a little 'blue' or HO race fuel to 95RON doesnt raise the octane by more than few points. Youll need a high percentage to raise it by a couple of octane ratings.

He uses 3/4 of a tank of 95 octane rubbish and the rest of the tank is filled with 114octane race fuel, so he aint just mixing in a little bit. It was AndyF that reckonedx that it would be close to 100 octane with that mix.

Default Result

I was expecting you to get more with those mods.
I achieved 288bhp and 324nm torque with an apexi downpipe and magnex centre section and Back box with a TSL Green panel filter On my V4 Sti wagon. The boost was erratic from 1.1 to 1.4 bar. Iwas running it on 95 (only fuel available in ireland) and half bottle of NF.
Needless to say i was delighted with the result.
Cheers
John

Why do you persist in posting if you just act like a tw@t when people reply?
