Cool

Rex's weight up by 70kg in Australia (manual form) & apparently up by 130kg in UK spec..What a pity...torque up 2 to 292nm and power unchanged apparently at 160kw.I think it may be a pig compared to the outgoing one but it will be a lot more refined. Mine should arrive in about 3 weeks..yeehah

The extra weight won't make that much difference to the performance. A car with two people in it seems to accelerate just as fast as one with only the driver!

If there is extra torque available, and over a wider rev range, then the car may actually be quicker for normal fast road driving.

However, I've heard that most of the extra weight is on the front, to give additional strength and crash protection for the US market, which may mean it has a tendency to understeer a bit more.

I'm sure it will still be a great car to drive fast, and we'll find out in a few weeks time for sure when the cars are released in different countries.
