Cool Quarter mile times? - MY00

Has anybody taken their standard MY00 down the strip? Would be interested to know your E/T's to compare it with my hot rod which ran a 14.9 sec (with fuel starvation at the top end - got to sort that).
Otherwise I'm going to have to take the Scoob to a strip to get a comparison.

Thanks

well its going to beat that unless you engage reverse first!! i managed 13.9 in a standard MY03 wrx (which is 150kgs heavier than a MY00...) a low 14 is normal...

I ran a 14.2 in a MY00 PPP, but I think the car could do better and it was down to my driving and gear changes.

Got 13.7 in my old MY00, with just a HKS Super Dragger exhaust system, and some fuel additives. Then had a full decat and ended up getting 13.9.

Aha HotRod....

Seems I'm not the only one in here then..!!

What ya got matey..? Let's see a piccy then..

Here's mine:

Not quite a '32 roadster, but I sold one of those to buy this!! It's a '59 Chevy Apache, 468ci big block Chevy V8, Edelbrock carb, worked heads, Crane cam, roller rockers, hypereutectic pistons, HEI ignition, and a few other bits, backed up by a TH400 and a B&M Megashifter. Vented discs all round, '81 Firebird front clip, tilt front end, tilt column, GM 10 bolt rear with a Posi diff.

Lights 'em up a treat....

Looking forward to your reply, as I often wondered how my 2 ton truck would fare against my Scoob. It run pretty well first time out at Thorney with no traction in 1st (3 speed auto), shifted at 4000rpm and still run a 14.8. The regular guys also said that the traps there were reading slow. Missed the Hot Rod Drags this year, as I was at Rally GB.

Seems like I should expect my Scoob to whip my rod's **** then! Difficult to tell how quick it is with all the noise going on.

Here's a couple of pics of my rod -self built 1932 Ford sedan. Runs a standard (250hp) small block Chevy V8 but the car is heavy and I was in 'drive' which shifts early. Maybe next time I'll hold it in gear longer. Like to get my Scoob and rod head to head but that means I'd have to let my wife drive... hmmm

V8Voodoo seen your truck around mate, very nice. Glad you enjoyed Thorney this year, us Wheelers were knackered at the end of it we had so many people turn up!

Enjoy your weekends

Looks

Standard MY97 UK has been timed at 13.7secs.

MY99/00 with a decat and map I got an easy 13.4 with a slipping clutch.

I would think that a standard MY99/00 would be about 14secs flat or thereabouts.

Evo magazine got the following figures for a standard MY99:

0-60 5.4secs
0-100 14.6 secs
Qtr mile 14.1 secs

nb they do all their performance tests with 2 people and half a tank of gas.

EVOLUTION,

A WRXPPP should get in to the 13s on a decent day. I managed 13.984 in an un-PPPd 03 WRX.

Im now doing 12.708 in the same car
