Ive got both sets of P1 alloys 18" & 17".
The 18" obviously look better on the car (filling the arches) on 215/35/18.
However Ive just tried the 17" but with 225/45/17 (wrong choice) which have better rim protection but dont handle as good as the 18" on low profile tyres.
225's will be changed soon to 215/40/17 or 205/45/17.
I would expect the 17" to handle better than the 18" with the correct choice tyre & size?

handling wise i much prefer the 18's to 17's, i used 17 speedlines for a while(right offset/tyre size) and the 18's outgrip them for sure. only thing you get better with 17's is the ride. gets a bit harsh with the 18's (wouldn't change them though)

Once Ive tried the different sizes of tyres for the 17" & tested the handling then I might think about selling 1 set. But that won't be for some time.

i don't think it makes much difference mate. i bought a scoob with 18's on and everyone said that it wouldn't handle but once they've tried it they've been impressed. it does maybe rob a little accelaration off ya but its negligable.
get the 18's mate, just get ready to pay for the tyres cos the right fitment for the p1's is 225/35's and they're steep
