Ever let a "Learner" drive your Scoob?
Iv'e been teaching the wife to drive - in the scoob (must be nuts),
Many, many scary moments and more than i can count frustrating moments.
One in particular, We pulls up at a set of lights, Car full of young lads in a ****roen pulls along side, big revs from the young lads - lights change, they "drove" off, (took off is a bit of a strong word). Bet the driver felt really good about thrashing the Subaru (showing 'L' plates) off the lights.
I chuckles to myself, we gets to the next set of lights, young lads had stopped, wife pulls up and gives the lads a wee smile, She says to me, Im gona have them this time. I chuckes again - learners ehh.
Lights change - she desimated them.
Next set of red lights we stopped, lads pull up, big thumbs up from them all??
Wife was delighted - thinks she can pass a driving test now!!!
Any one also been crazy enough to let a learner drive??

Ha ha ha........
Talk about a current topic.....
Just about to buy my first scoob and the g/f is learning to drive as we speak.
She's showed huge interest in "having a go" and just hasn't grasped the, "lets wait till you get a little more experiance..." comment.
PLUS
We're going to a bbq this weekend, so obviously I want to drive but can't drink.
As a way round this she "suggests" that I bring her brother along and he can drive the scoob home then pick us up later in it.
The 24 year old who wants to buy a turbocharged mini cooper?
Yeah............jog on

Very interesting, looks like i'm not the only one thats foolish enough to let someone else drive the scoob,
@ StickyMicky, to be fair, my only deffence m8, is that i thought she was just joking, still no excuse but not much i could've done really.
Still good to hear other learners have tried driving in a big car.
Cheers all,
B
Cheers guys, i'll show her your replys later tonight,

First car my girlfriend drove was my GTIR with probably the most ferocious 3 paddle clutch I've ever felt
By the time she got in her leaner car she could launch anything from a standing start
