Dont think the engine capacity would make a diffarance in insurance, usually newer cars are cheaper to insure then the older cars, due to most people not wanting to thrash there new cars about. My insurance was £200 cheaper on my 04 WRX compared to my00 Turbo 2000.

Here in the States we get a 2.5L in the STi, and for 2006, the WRX also gets the 2.5L.

In Japan and Britain, the STi will probably still house the 2.0L, due to racing regulations, or homologation.

Because we have the 2.5L in our STi, we aren't permitted to participate in some racing series because of it. Here, all the 2.5L is good for is for racing Evolutions. Our 2.5L also has cast pistons, compared with the 2.0L's forged pistons that you guys get.

and even more of a pig to fuel! Be lucky to get 20mpg on a sedate motorway journey!!!!

Also wondering about stats, as something doesnt make sense. With a 2.5ltr lump, but same bhp output and 0-60 figures as the MY05 (apparently) how does the extra weight get moved?
