Unhappy

Had new brake discs fitted in last year. Just had a problem with mine. Discs fitted in Oct 04 were not fitted exactly square. Started as a tick tick noise on rotation then started to produce steering wheel judder on hard breaking and recently has developed a rub which becomes a squeek at slow speeds. If it's anything like that then it's new disc and pads time. Otherwise could be the pads aren't releasing properly and rub for a bit after application.

Funny enough I was going to post the same question, I did think it was time for some new pads.

Is it like a tinkly scrapy noise?

Get up close to the offending wheel and look closely at the brake caliper. The pad has two springy metal tabs that are meant to rub against the rusty part of the disc when the pads are worn down to replacement thickness. If they're rubbing, then it's time to get 'em changed.

I hope its not that as i only had new pads 2 weeks ago??

It happened after i had to brake a bit sharpish due to horses wandering in the road and its only on one side??
