Default First Scooby

Im curently on my second Octy VRS, chipped to 230, dont laugh, they are pretty good.
Next move a STI UK, 2003 / 2004.
Q1 - Is it better to buy an un-modified
Q2 - I always thought re mapping them was not wise & liable to blow there brains out
Q3 - What is the true (from experience) MPG on these animals in the un-modifed state.

Thanks

A 230bhp Skoda....sounds like fun, great Q car!

1) Depends entirely on the mods, a well modified car could save you £££ on doing the mods yourself, as a past owner can never recoup the money spent on mods upon selling the car! Do make sure you can insure the car easily with the mods before you comit to a purchase. Just stay clear of cars that undergone cheap mods designed to extract max power at minimal cost with little thought to durability.

2) No, not at all. A remap by a reputable expert should be very safe!

3) Low twenties if you drive carefully. Low teens if you give it some beans. 30mpg acheiveable on a m'way cruise. If you have to ask.........
