Thanks Guys
It's been a long time coming, then I go run 6 of them in one day
9.81 was my best ET, backed up with a 9.82 @ 147.5 mph. It really was pulling hard across the line
Still have my slight misfire but after having the engine apart I have finally traced it to the coils overheating If I cooled the coils before a run then I would get a clean run as long as I kept the nos dosage low (40 shot)
The Exedy clutch (one I fried at Melbourne crudely repaired) also cried enough when I increased the boost beyond 2 bar but hey, I can't complain
Big thanks go out to Steve W who done some last minute machining/building work on my engine last week and helped me change the rear crank seal last night after someone pushed it too far in (blush) and it pissed out all the oil.
To Mark at Lateral Performance for supplying one of his prized possessions in way of an ideal turbo spec plus gaskets etc to his usual high standard of efficiency
Harvey for the use of his std Sti viscous centre diff.

Did you alter the car in any way from totb4? ie more power? or just fix the whole lot back up? got to admit though its the most impresive car I have seen go up the quarter mile, even better than Cowies Skyline. Its about time you rolling roaded it and told us the true power instead of 550bhp plus a shot of nitrous its got to be well on the way to 750- 800bhp, Haldors is supposedly 709 bhp plus nitrous, you must have some thing similar, put us out of our misery Congratulations on the 9.81 sec but I think you would have done it at totb4 anyway if you did not brake the car

Andy's car is probably knocking on the door of being 200kg lighter than the Team ICE car which would help a lot...I very much doubt even Andy running on Scottimax and Nos would claim to be running 750 + brake
Don't Forget Mikee is running 10.8s consistantly on road tyres with a smidge over 500 brake and no NOS

200kg Tim ? I don't think so, thats almost 3 times my own weight ! Where would these 3 people be hiding on the Team Ice car then ? Certainly not in its carbon panels, carbon prop or hollow driveshafts !
I know the new age cars are heavier from the factory but thats all the extra trimmings, crash protection, airbags, soundproofing etc which has been stripped from this car.
I would be most surprised if the bare bodyshell is more than 10kg heavier, it is after all just virtually the same thing squeezed into a different shape !
I have not dyno'd the engine so can only estimate its output to be in the region of 550-600bhp

I like that attitude, why chase numbers on the dyno, when the performance against the clock speaks for itself.
Team Ice have disclosed the weight of the car and it is in classic territory, but I don't think it is quite as light as Andy's.
Plus they still run the six speed casing and a heavier gearset.
I also don't see that andy's numbers have "smashed" the ICE team, be fair! We are all out for the same goal here, so I don't think we should be comparing within subaru circles.
Compare against the Norris and RC developments cars by all means!
Also, not sure why Andy's is more impressive than Keith Cowie running 9.3s!

WOW thats serious stuff... would be interesting to see some standard performance figures for Andy's car rather than just 1/4 mile... just to give us mer mortals some idea how ffffffffast the a 9.8 sec equates to 0-100 times...
I suspect its just mental...
Vbox anyone...?

daz,
paul worked out some rough figures on 22b
0-60 mph: 2.74 Seconds
0-100 mph: 5.08 Seconds
that will scare most of the big bikes
