sucked a bird throw the scoop this mornin :(
This morning on the way to work i was driving down a private road near my work and turned a bend to see a bird flying at what seemed like slow motion towards the scoop , i thought i had missed it because i couldnt here anything like it bouncing off the bonnet . But when i parked up and lifted the bonnet it was their in bits on the intercooler .Felt bad but wasn't gonna crash to avoid it .
Anyone scooby scooped a bird before ?.

Yep, been there, done that. Also done the one where it hits my offside headlamp at 70mph and blasts the protective cover clean off into a thousand pieces.
It took me a week to get the car sorted as its guts oozed up the side of the car and sqeezed between the drivers window and the seal (old classic wagon). All this on the way to church for my godson's christening.
By the time we got back to the car the stuff had baked into the paintwork and headline fabric, and the smell of putrifying bird guts was just beyond description. ****.

I caught a rabbit trying to get a closer look at my FMIC,sadly he destroyed a large chunk of my Veilside splitter while trying to do so.
I was doing 70 on the motorway at the time.
Found bits of fur and fluff for weeks and my car smelt like a mobile bbq for a while. No birds as yet.

Maybe not relevant but once a dear ran out of the side bushes and did a 'half pipe' up my passenger side door (ex-girlfriend in the passenger seat at the time ) and promptly ran back into the bushes (like it casually does that all the time to impress his mates)
I had a perfect row of hoof imprints up the door, so I suppose if I had to excuse myself for posting this it could have been worse

Killed a hen pheasant one day accidentally on purpose. Skelped it with the n/s front wing and it was a lovely dinner. Plucking it was a task though.
No damage to the car.
