Sounds a bit pricey to me (especially if a non STI). I paid £12,500 from a main dealer for a 52 plate WRX with 20,000 miles, back in January.

Hope this helps

[QUOTE=sc_sub]its a 2002 wrx - the first one.

Looking at the selection of cars from the Autotrader search should answer your question on price. The car directly below the one you are interested in is a MY02 Bug eye Sti listed at £14,990. With all the mods listed on the WRX the Insurance for the Sti might work out cheaper and the Sti looks to be pretty standard, allowing you to mod to your spec and not someone elses.

There is also the next car down on the list which is a MY04 Blob eye WRX listed at £14,995, again a standard looking car which will come with the balance of warranty and will be cheaper to insure.

insurance isnt a problem, i have a trade policy which covers any car. im just after modding my bmw for the last 3 years and it cost over 20k including buying the car. i want one thats alredy modded a bit so i dont have to start all over again. cheers for the advice buddy.

i am interested in in the first car but wat is the rite price for it ??? wat would you be offering to start with?

It is difficult to put a price on a car with so much mods, it really is a case of how much someone is prepared to pay for it. Also their is the issue of who carried out the work to the car which may have a great effect on its long term reliability.

The Parkers price guide for a WRX of that age is:-
Subaru Dealer selling - £12,400
Independant Dealer Selling - £11,870
Private sale - £11,340

Having a quick search through Autotrader shows up lots of Bug eye WRX's starting from as low as £9000.

If your set on this car then your aim would be to haggle the best deal you can from the seller, but personally I woudn't pay that much for a Bug eye.

Don't seem too bad, though I'd offer around 14,500 - 15,000 but thats me!!

Plus have a look around before you buy, don't be tempted to buy the first scoob you see as you may get a better deal elase where

If your after a standard WRX model, look around, there are bargains to be had.

Mine is for sale, 2002, 52 Plate WRX, Blue/Black Colour, 20K Miles, Prodrive Exhaust, Tracker + Air Time, FSSH etc etc, tax. I had it on here at a price i was willing to accept close to £11,000!.... but have had no interest there for its being P/X next week.

Keep looking, a bargain will come up.
