Default Good place to get new ECU and remap for a Version 2 STI Type RA?

Hi

I've been quoted around £1500 for a new GEMS ECU and remap for a Version 2 STI Type RA. Although I've heard GEMS is one of the most expensive. Are there any places that will supply a new ECU (eg. Power FC) and do the remap? What sort of ECU is it and what cost do they charge in total? Has anyone used ScoobyClinic?

Many thanks for any information.

Matt

Andy Forrest will supply and map an A'Pexi PowerFC for an Impreza for £750. Its a replacement ECU, the Impreza ECU is completely removed.

With you living in west sussex it makes sence to use www.brdevelopments.com and IMHO you would be better with motec or link over the Gems.

Thanks guys for your replies. What company does Andy Forrest work for...does he have a contact email or website?

Thanks also for mentioning brd developments. Do you have an idea of what sort of cost they will charge to supply a replacement ecu and remap? Is Motec more expensive than a Gems ecu? I've also read the article in Jap Performance Magazine. Looks very impressive. One of the reasons I have decided on importing an STI Type RA.
