It comes on boost at 3500 rpm and then feels like it hits a wall and then of it goes, thought it might be the maf, but my local dealership looked at that and found no probs mate, its alot worse in second or with more people in the car.

Any ideas mate

thanks
James

my brother took my old MY99 to our local dealer as it was doing what youve described they plugged it in and said MAF was ok and werent sure what it was. After talking to conrad bradley about it my brother changed the MAF and its goes like a good un. I'd try a new MAF

Could it be fuel cut (which -apparently- feels like hitting a wall) caused by maybe overboost?

Hi, always a good idea to go to Technical and do a search or post a thread about problems.
There's lots of info and help there.
Boost solenoid problems can be caused by overfilling the engine oil.
I make sure my 99 UK Turbo Wagon's oil level is never above the high mark on the dipstick.
A good place for an overview is www.SIDC.co.uk. and the FAQ section.

Yes, AFAIK it could certainly be that. Overfilling with oil can contaiminate it....as far as I know it can be cleaned though. May not have to go to the expense of replacing it.
