How much is a dealer going to rip me off for to get a new............
...........Remote Blipper unit for my MY00?
I have two units, the other week unit 1 stopped working. Batteries I thought. Used the keypad and went home. Got unit 2 (Loop broken so not on the keyring ) and blipped the car and it locked.
Took Batteries out of unit 2 and put them in unit 1. Still didn't work, put batteries back into unit 2 and it worked.
I'm starting to get peeved with having to carry the keys and a blipper seperately so I need a new one that I can attach to the keyring again.
Any ideas how much and probably more importantly what's the process and how long does it take. Can I be expected to be treated like I have stolen the car?
P.S Please be aware that car thieving scum could be reading this thread so think about your replies and don't compromise the scoobs security systems

It would probably work, but it looks like the unit is glued together so i'd probably end up snapping them both and ending up with two knackered ones
I might just get a fob with a pouch in it, stick it in there and hopefully it'll be happy days again.
£100. At least Dick Turpin wore a bloody mask

It's no secret that the standard MY00 alarm is a Sigma M30 - any Sigma dealer should be able to supply a new transmitter. I think you can program it yourself using the keypad in the glove box, provided you have the PIN.

I have a spare fob (new),which is exactly the same as the blue subaru logo'd one ,only this one is grey with sigma logo .
Can be reprogrammed using the keypad in glovebox.
Anyone interested ? offers ?

New fobs from your local subaru dealer are not as expensive as you think I bought 2 new ones for my my99uk turbo and they cost about £35 each I bought them at two seperate times from two different dealers both cost the same so no mistake on price, programed them myself following the alarm handbook so no charge for programing, people just assume that everything with subaru written on it costs hunderds, beware though as some rip off dealers charge above the subaru max retail price for parts (found out the dealer I was using was chargeing everybody £6.50 for oil filters when the price should have been £4.50 even after I told them they were ripping us off two months later my mate got charged yep you guessed it £6.50 needless to say they dont get my business any more)

my m8 had a problem with one of his keyfobs for his my99, change the batteries and no difference, took it to S&S and they re coded it for him for free when he was in for a service, turned out that it had lost its code somehow
