Angry Oil Flow Control Valve Recall Notice

What is going on with Subaru!

I've had to cancel my appointment for the Oil Control Valve Recall twice now, at Prosport because:

"The special tool is on Back order from Subaru"

WELL IT'S NOT ******* good enough SUBARU!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took you long enough to send out the recall notices..... The least you could have done was make sure that all the service centres had all the tools available to do the job

Prosport is on the "Dealer List" attached to the recall notice, so I just assumed....

However, you might be right, maybe I will try another

I do think it applies to some 03 sti's. Not all it depends on the chassis number.

If someone has a list of the chassis numbers (from ## to ##) it would be a great help, anyone on here work for subaru?

The recall notice sent to dealers says it requires a special tool but it is possible to do it without the special tool. The bolts are in a tricky position and the special tool just makes access easier. This assumes you are talking about the same recall as I am, but I think you are.
