MASSIVE understeer

MASSIVE understeer
For some reason my 03 STI has developed scary understeer, but only when turning right.
The higher the speed the worse the understeer, I can go round a roundabout
at 50, but can't take a long sweeping righthand bend.
Any thoughts?
As you will be able to tell, I'm not really to technical where cars are concerned, but if you need more info, ask away.........

First thing to check is tyre pressures, both front and rear.
Then check wheel bolts, then track control arms at the front (the bars that connect the wheels to the chassis and steering) then the rear anti-roll bar and drop links (the long metal bar which goes between the rear wheels under the car, and the links at each end of it which connect to it.
Also worth checking there is no grease or oil on the tyres, I hope you havent been using 'back to black'

I wagered him the bill for the 3 hours that he had spent on the car that if he took it out and tried to turn right while applying some right foot he would see what I mean.
Any way off he goes...............5 mins alter he is sitting outside his garage, just looking into to space with a face of abject confusion.
This chap knows his beans, works on Scoobs all the time, spent 3 hours on mine for free.
I live on the IOM where there is no Scoob dealer for me just to take the car to a say 'sort it' when ever I have calld Subaru assit, they need to know far to much techie stuff for me, but saying that they do need to spend about £500 to get the car back to a dealer, so it's understandable.
I just hope that are some simple tests that I can do to rule out some things, and via a process of elimination discover what the problem is.

G/F wanted to drive it, but I saw sense (bought her one of her own to save the hassle)

Swap the wheels over(front to back or whatever). try a drive.
Its alright checking it over, swap things around and see what happens.

i would suspect the geometry is out, tracking, camber. easy test for camber, just to see if either side is equal, get the car on a flat level ground with wheels straight as possible, get a long spirit level. place one end of the level on the ground at the point where the tyre touches the ground. get the bubble on the vertical of the level spot on and get an other person to measure from the level to the tyre or wheel rim. do the same for both sides. should be very similar, its not accurate really but will tell you if its miles out.
