Default Double sided tape removal tip req'd

I've bought a set of seconhand STi entry/sill protectors and I'm trying to get the darn old double sided tape off.
It appears nuclear blast proof, as so far I've tried a hair dryer and a razor blade but it's going to take a month of Sundays.

Any seasoned pro out there with any tips?

WD40 will remove most adhesives without damaging rubber or paint, let it soak for a while.

another vote for WD40, although has any one thought its about time they updated the design of the can and logo? I cant believe they still sellotape the red straw to the side of it! An the graphics are the same as when I was "knee high to a grasshopper".
