Double sided tape removal tip req'd
I've bought a set of seconhand STi entry/sill protectors and I'm trying to get the darn old double sided tape off.
It appears nuclear blast proof, as so far I've tried a hair dryer and a razor blade but it's going to take a month of Sundays. Any seasoned pro out there with any tips? :) |
tried a little petrol? i have used this to remove the double-sided tape that holds badges on. doesn't damage paintwork either providing it is washed off

Hair dryer? You big girl; get a heat gun and some welders gloves. Be very carefull what you heat up though.....
|
try tar and glue remover you can get it from any car shop
|
thinners does the trick.:)

WD40 will remove most adhesives without damaging rubber or paint, let it soak for a while.

Acetone (nail varnish remover)
|
Elbow grease gets my vote :p
|
another vote for WD40, although has any one thought its about time they updated the design of the can and logo? I cant believe they still sellotape the red straw to the side of it! An the graphics are the same as when I was "knee high to a grasshopper".

I was going to vote for WD40 until I realised my alter ego had done the same ...LOL
