Hi guys

Picked up a new to me scooby today. I got a 2001 y reg wrx which has had £7000 spent on it, including uprated turbo, ecu, mapping, exhaust, decat etc etc running around 300bhp +. Well happy with it, had a couple of classic scoobies and been away from one for a while having tried the evo!! But i swapped it for my 98 lotus elise and i must say i prefer the subaru!!!

Finally someone who's owned all the car's i've wanted!
I've just bought an '01 51 plate WRX so you may be able answer a couple of questions?
1) Why did you change your Evo (and which version was it) and is the Impreza better?
2) What was the Elise like as an 'everyday' car and why did you swap it?
3) Is the 'decat' legal and if so, what's required?

Right I sold the evo as someone came along woth the right money for it!! And both the evo and the impreza have there own qualities. In my opinion the evo is a much more raw car and has slightly better handling due to to ayc but then the sound of the impreza you just cannot beat!! And perfomance wise put a 300 bhp impreza against a 300 bhp evo and i personally dont think there is much difference but thats my opionion!!

The elise as an everyday car is terrible, very unpractible, uncomfortable but then vey fun to drive!!

And the decat as far as i know is not legal but I am not 100% sure on that!!

I looked at the Evo's but they were at least a couple of grand more for the equivalent car.
