i dont think you need to take out the clocks ,you need to put mph sticker over the face of your euro clocks these can be bought from subaru parts shops not main dealers

If you've converted the car to MPH with the proper adaptor (at the gearbox end of the cable IIRC), the odometer should now be reading in miles, but all distances covered prior to that point will be km.
