Default Newbie Info on WRX STI Please

Hi all....

I am thinking of purchasing an 02 wrx sti Scooby, the car has done 60k miles with full subaru s/h up to 50k. The car now needs a service as it has just approached 60k and I said If I bought it from this dealer I would insist on it being serviced by Subaru.

What I would like to know is how much would this service cost and what is involved?, the 50k in the log book says that the cam belt has been changed. The car is in extremely good condition with only a few stone chips on the front and I took it out for a test drive and was amazed at the performance over my 115bhp Ford Focus!

The spoiler on the back of the Sti is the same as the Wrx ones, small low one, is this correct or do you think its been changed at some point?, the car is advertised as a Subaru Wrx Sti Prodrive "type", can someone enlighten me as the sales guy says that its the side skirts and different front bumper that is the prodrive kit?...

On the DVLA forms it does say wrx sti prodrive but the sales guy said he had been in touch with Subaru who said there were no engine modifications to this car..

Anything else to look out for please?

Any help would be greatfully received as it could be just what I have dreamt of owning!

Thanks very much

Andy

It will also have the full body kit as the one above thats a prodrive type (1 of 1000? if i remember correctly??)
PPP was seperate so if you get one with the PPP then its 300bhp and not 262bhp

The 02 bug eye sti, had 2 types. small spoiler meant normal sti type uk

big spoiler mean sti type uk "prodrive edition" which was merely cosmetic additions.

both had same 261bhp as standard.

I've got an 02 bug eye sti Prodrive so here's some pics of what the Prodrive looks like. Different front bumper/grill, head lights, side skirts, rear spoiler, seats, tachometer thingy and think thats the main things.

I just had the 30k and the dealer told me the cambelt service at 50k is cheaper. 30k service cost me £415 so should be less than that.
