Default Clarification Please..............

Hi Guys and Gals

I have just had a ninja exhaust and de-cat centre pipe fitted to my99 (Thanx Craig5). Anyway the guy that fitted it for me said that because of this the car will be running richer than before and I will need to get a remap done ASAP to avoid burning out the turbo or killing it.

Is this true or can i ignore it ?

By the way it sounds the absolute nutz and I am driving around with an even bigger smile than before.

Sounds spurious to me; running rich is safe and will cause the car to run a little cooler. Running lean on the oher hand; is very bad, but it will affect you piston crowns and big-end bearings, not your exhaust / turbo.
