Swissol, is it worth the money??
Hi All,
Was my birthday yesterday and friends and family gave me some cash, so thought about getting one of them Swissol kits and give the scoob a good going over, get it nice and shiny ready for summer
My only though is that there is other 'quality' poilishes on the market, but having read the Swissol info I am very curious to find out what is so special about this product, is it worth the cash??
Cheers for any advice
Lea

Do you have to get a complete kit, or do you buy it in seperates?
Please list some info on this as i have never bothered before but would now like to.

im intrested to try it to be honest, but the thought of only waxing a car every 6 months ago does not apeal to me
i know a man who headhunts from other chemical companys to work for his own, i think he can get me the carnuba wax stuff on its own, i might try and make my own version pmsl

SWISSOL restores valuable oils of the original paint finish. These essential oils, such as cinnamon, avocado and vanilla

Yoda speak, I think.
Anyway got my *** down to Scoobyworld this morning and picked up the car bath, pre-wax and samurai wax £77 the lot inc cooler bag, can't be bad. Not had chance to use it yet as the crappy weather has stopped any attemps, you need a good fine day with no sign of rain, thats the next 6 months out the question then

OK, thanks for the advice chaps.
Just ordered the single blade flexi, I'll see how that goes as I've never used one before.
Can't wait to see the results from the Swissol.

Post some pics up mate when you`ve done it only i`d find it hard to justify spending that much on wax when i use poorboys on mine at £12 a bottle and get results like this, tho would spend it if the difference was obvious.

I managed to find the time today to finally give the car a swissol-ing, and yes it is worth every penny. Over the years I have use Autoglym (all polishes), MIR(which I thought was total rubbish), turtle wax polishes of different types, Comma, Halfrauds own stuff, Williams teflon polish, many others that I forget the names of now and, in my opinion the Swissol stuff is way above the others.
The paintwork on my scoob was looking tired and dull, it is only a MY00(deep mica blue), so had to bring it back to life somehow. The swissol has done exactly that it now shines like new, straight out the showroom look, I'm well pleased.
It was fairly easy to apply apart from the pre-wax which I found a bit of a bind to remove and it started to rain half way through the application, had to leather down and start again. The samurai wax is truly brilliant, easy to apply and easy to buff off.
Overall its a big thumbs up to Swissol, its expensive but well worth it if you want to keep your motor in tip top condition.
No pics yet, had to rush out shortly after finishing to fix a leaky tap at my Sisters.

I just Swissol'd my car for the first time too and the results are great. But I have to agree, the prewax stuff is bl00dy hard to buff out, to be fair its probably because I used too much in the first place though.
The wax itself couldn't be easier to apply and buff, plus its smells like hubba bubba, what more could you want. Very happy with the results.

I take it when you buy swissol you get a kit then, with different stages to apply.
I was going to get some but dont want to do things in the wrong order, if it is not in kit form, and does it have good instructions for complete begginers such as myself?

I got just the car bath, pre-wax and the samurai wax(us in that order) and an applicator, there are instructions on the bottles/containers, I did send for a 60 page booklet but got a letter this morning saying they where out of print.
Most places selling Swissol will recommend the correct items that you will need, don't be afraid to ask.
cptcaveman, I probably used too much as well, but the results are fantastic anyway. Just love the smell(school days), neighbour was curious as to why I was putting 2 coats of wax on, so told him it was a 'special' wax and to come back in a couple of hours to have a look. He popped out again and was amazed at the gleam on the car ' how much does that stuff cost then' he said, £77 for the 3 items, he was a little shocked but then had the cheek to ask if he could borrow it to try on his KIA(HaHa), no chance of that I think.
PS The flexi-blade works ok, great on the windows, but you still have to leather the car down to remove ALL the water, the pre-wax don't like water coming into contact with it as I found out.
