Why do so many subarus...

If we all look at RS INVADERS profile you can tell hes only invaded scoobynet to cause trouble so RS bugger off and leave the rest of use genuine scooby owners and followers alone.

I agree with rik.c, on this one if you don't like the cars and haven't got one then there is no valid reason for you to be here so **** off!!!! As for porsche's aren't they just German capri's anyway!!!!!
What do you know no spelling mistakes in that one!!!!!

why do so many cossie drivers wear shell suits ?
(sorry - just picking up on the point Jeremy Clarkson was making on the programme that featured the Cossie)
I drove a series 1 Escort RS Turbo for 8 years and would be driving a Cosworth now - if I hadn't 'discovered' the impreza (plus the fact that for same price as a 96 Cossie here in Switzerland I could get a brand new Impreza)
And by the way - they come with gold wheels because Subaru fit them on the car. (duh !!)
I thought mine were great when I bought my 99MY special edition, here in Switzerland - but have replaced them with P1 titanium look.
Steve
(and yes... pretty pointless comment)

cossie drivers with shell suits? quite right
pointless comment:- It was a genuine question
swiss steve: if your gold wheels looked great why then did you change them (duh!!) as for your last comment it says more about you than it does me!
Are all subaru owners as touchy as this?
Do any subaru owners think that the gold wheels are tacky???
My mate has a imprezza and the first thing he did was to remove the wheels because HE said they were "tacky"

Not touchy just sick and fed up of people like you coming on here stirring trouble!!
Valid question think not a valid question would have been something along the lines off
"are there any impreza owners on here that don't like gold wheels?" or along similar lines
How about what do most RS's now andays seem to be driven by T£$%s on your BB, would have got the same reaction but i wouldn';t call you guys touchy for it , i'd say understandable, and before you ask, I have owned an RS and don't have gold wheels on my impreza!!!

D'oh! Because they like them.
Wouldn't be much of a world if we all liked the same thing would it. Personally I don't care for them, others do, so what?

I agree with BarryK - if everyone liked the same thing then the world would be a pretty boring place.
Oh yeah, one other thing - if you dont like something, then why not approach it in a sensible way instead of trying to wind everyone up?? Better still, why not just keep it to yourself instead of creating yet another pointless thread. LOL
Anyway - rant over!!!

Well, RS, perhaps. I consider that there are too many Imprezas which have jumped on the bandwagon of gold wheels with little thought of "does this actually make my car look good?". We might well laugh at the MP brigade with their fads for silly sticky-on sunvisors, big wings etc. But the Impreza community, albeit in a more "grown-up" does suffer from fashion trends. And with all fashion trends there are some instances where it looks good and others where it doesn't. Take those silly cut off at the shin girly trousers, yeah look great on a supermodel with legs up to her armpits but for the average British woman they make her look short with stumpy legs.
Anyway back to my point, yeah sure, gold alloys look fantastic on some Imprezas and naff as hell on others. I'm not gonna mention examples but c'mon think and you'll think of cars that you know which fall into the two categories.
(An Impreza owner trying to make a point, before you flame me. Silver Turbo with silver alloys

Good point Kelvin.. fully agree with you..
Following on from an earlier response from Stuwart, why can`t the moderator delete threads , it would prevent pointless comments which serve no usefull purpose on what is generally an excellent BBS?

For the record, I don't care too much for gold wheels but it depends mainly on what colour the Scooby is. Black Scooby, gold wheels = the dogs danglies. Red Scooby gold wheels = err, I don't feel so good. (just my opinion, not necessarily correct :Þ ) and also on the alloys themselves. The MY99 five spokes look horrible in gold (though they look nearly as horrible in silver) though Speedlines look great in gold

I'm in agreement with Steve Y on this one.
I think RS Invader ought to give some thought to changing his Username to "RS - his head is so far up his RS"
So far as the Porsche is concerned, I did toy with the idea of buying one - but settled on a proper car (even got two for the money !)
Any spelling mistooks - down to the bottle of Chardonay I've just consumed

Oh dear
seems I have hit a few raw nerves, this was not intended to get anybodys back up and maybe i should have phrased the post better. As for the gold wheels, as many of you have said it is a personal opinion and you know mine. (I agree that they look ok on a black subaru)I dont feel that there was any need to stoop so low as to get personal, i only questioned the colour of wheels! i have nothing against subarus and have even considered buying one myself(without the gold wheels!)If i have offended anybody than i applogize. Perhaps the moderator should close this thread as it is not nice to see slagging off by anybody.
