Booking an airfield/track privately
Does anyone know if you can book an airfield like Bruntingthorpe or North Weald or Elvington, privately outside of organised track days. I am thinking of getting a few people together for an event i have in mind, but need a location to set out a mini handling type track and a high speed run.
I guess insurance is also a major issue
Cheers

Private Hire
Cheers guys
any ideas on costs? I know you can also do a 4-person day at Goodwood with their instructor, but they have a low noise limit so no good for the Scoob!

You can hire www.rally-drive.co.uk track at Blyton (10 miles south of Scnuthorpe) for around £600 a day. He does get booked up though. We hire it twice a year, and it has a superb twisty track designed to upset a car and test it and the drivers abilities. The surface is very abrasive, so be prepared for the damage to the tyres and there are some potholes. THIS was our last visit in April, and our next is 1st October. Loads of fun, and cheap as chips if you can get enough people. No straight line facilities though.

You can book North Weald but you have to apply to the local council and have to submit a proposal once you have received an info pack. The committee will then discuss your application at the next monthly meeting and you will be invited to attend the following monthly meet. All in all will prob take 2 to 3 months to organise.
