what do you make of this!:

Apart from having a nose job a few other things don't add up - anyone know the car?

I don't know the car, but for £12000 that can't be bad. It does sort of make you wonder why its so cheap though.

I might be thick but don't all STI's have a pink badge.

I've seen a few of these recently on ebay. Something doesn't seem right as a Clio 255 V6 I saw was something like buy it now £6000.

Maybe I'm missing something too... Sure seems fishy.

If its doesn't smell right, it ain't right. Especially on eBay.

Feedback counts for nothing at those kind of prices. Could easily have faked it to make that sale.

But is it really that cheap??
Look at the date of first registration, the car is a 2001 Y plate which like the above says,it's had a facelift but you've got to ask why has it had a face lift?
Perhaps it's just me but the only time somebody would consider face lifting their car was after an accident when spray work needed to be done??
The guy on Ebay mentions the facelifted car would cost £18k + but yeah, that maybe the case, but the blobeye only came out in 2003 anyway so straightaway, the car is two years newer!!
I think it sounds a fair price, perhaps too expensive though??

Cheers

Oh,and those seats need a damn good clean considering the mileage is 'so low'!! lol
Note also how the car still has the original 01/02 steering wheel. All blobeye STi's shipped with the much nicer three spoke with the silver centre with pink STi lettering
Personally,I think that car's been clocked as there's no way you could get those seats so dirty in such low mileage!!!

There's definitely something funny going on. It's an early JDM import, yet advertised as the 'facelift model', not 'early model that's had a new front end fitted'. There's no mention of the fact it's an import, and 19k (especially 19k km, not miles) is simply implausible.

Might be a perfectly nice motor, but the ad is clearly misleading.

Rear lights confirm it's an early "bugeye"

Well its either another one or they are rolling off some production line but I have seen that facelifted bug eye before, quite some time ago and I think it has popped up more than once, sounds dodgy to me.
