Default new guy

Just thought I would say a hello to you all before I start my barrage of questions,

Hello !!

At the minute Im driving a nissan 300zx, which frankly im getting a bit bored with, and Im thinking about buying an Impreza.

The first thing I noticed when looking through the auto trader online, was that I seem to be able to buy the same car for 4500 as I could for 8000 what the hell is this all about ?? and it seems that dealers are holding a glut of imprezas and asking the earth for them. I have had two really bad experiences with garages , and basicly think car salesmen are about as honest as saddam husseins accountant !! so I would prefer to buy one privately

(1) what is the difference between a 2.0 turbo and a WRX ? is it cosmetic or is it power / handling related ?
(2) what is the difference between a WRX , and an STI, apart from the power difference, does the STI have a different engine or is it just tweaked?
(3) are parts easy to find ? cos my Zed is a nightmare ?

I appologise for all the questions but if someone could help I would be very gratefull
cheers..

Hi,
Welcome to SN,
Basically, 2.0ltr turbo Uk cars, have 215Hp, (classic), and the WRX's which are imports have 240Hp Minimum, 93> and go to 280Hp, with various models imbetween having 260Hp.

STi's have better engine components egistons, wilder cams, higher revving, blue printed block, and can usually take more modifying.

Parts can be found everywhere, even oe parts.

And for different prices, people always charge different prices for all cars, better condition lower miles,etc... i brought my sti for nearly £3000 more than some with the same car, but obviously the price was due to the cond. etc....

theres alot out there to choose from........

Hope this helps
