60k service....what to expect?
Hi guys...I have had my Uk turbo my99 since last august and it is just about to hit the 60k mark. Being new to scooby ownership what should I expect to have done at this service?
It was last serviced when I bought the car from Subaru at 52k.
Any comments appreciated...thanks

This is a major service and will include everything except a cambelt change(which should have been done at 45k service). All fluids changed (Gear oil, Engine oil, Coolant, Brake and Clutch fluid), spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter. Everything check and adjusted. Mine was in for about half a day, cost £450 - £500 approx, serviced at Subaru.

My MY00 had it's 60,000 mile service in January by Monty's of Sheff. They quoted £355 inc parts, labour and VAT, but it came in less as I have a K&N Panel filter, so saving on a relacement one.
It also had front discs and pads for £170 fitted (Non-genuine obviously), which I was impressed with! This was it's first set of discs at 60,000miles too, which isn't like what I'd been lead to believe i'd get from a set, not the 20-30k stories I read on here.
Shop around! You should be able to save a bit of money on the £500 quoted!

The 60k service cost me £630
Discs last 60,000miles easy ... my pads are on 58,000miles ........ the scare stories on here come from those who can't drive properly!

Sh**ing myself.
Ok im gatecrashing this post but am sh**ing a brick now. My T plate is coming up for its 90k service next month. Was expecting about 500 but not 800. Any idea what Days of Chelmsford charge for this service. Its a bi**h having to service your car by months and not mileage. Its only just turned 60k.

Why does everyone go to a stealer?
Go to a specialist!!
Highly recommend Scoobyclinic. Only reason for staying with a main dealer is if you were daft enough to take out an extended warranty...
I know who I'd prefer servicing the Scoob. My local dealer didn't know the difference between a WRX and an STI - I kid you not
